Meaningless, You make these plans, and set these revelations for yourself, but then you ignore it and go back to normal, IF YOU ARN'T SATISFIED, then you have the answer to move on. If you are being an idiot and chosing not too then, don't complain to everyone about whats wrong. YOU control whats going on in your life, you choose who you keep around, you choose where you work, where you live, what you wear, how you look.
   
 Meaningless Hope We talk alot, just talk, make plans of what it'd be like to be together. Words. Gestures, Satisfaction and dissapointment, All delievered in words. We hope for the future, silently. hoe hoe hoe under the misltoe

okay its december.. no more denying that. It occured to me the other day when I was sitting alone in a restraunt, alone, eating poutine. AND to top it all off they were playing songs like "I'll be home for christmas" and "last christmas". Fml?

   So I decided to try and make the best of it by getting a little festive HERE since I am not going home for christmas.

 even though I havnt got as far as buying any presents for anyone to put underneath the tree. I went out thrifting and found some presents for myself. This is something I've really re-learned to love. It reminds me of the summer when me and one of my good friends Jordan would go to the outskirts of our town, and look at this thrift store which was pretty much a minni wearhouse full of little goodies. I remember finding some ray ban style wayfarer sunglasses, Jordan got some to match. Oh to have those back... For now though I found some shoes that I've fallen in love with.

 

Anti-Hero

So I had my first fitting for a shoot which I will be doing on thursday night here in vancouver! And I LOVED it who dosn't love getting dressed up in designer clothes by someone who really loves and knows what they are doing. I got to go into "Anti- Hero" here in vancouver at the gas town loaction on 302 w cardova, and get dressed by the owner grace in a few looks. 
     I like that is going to be something really new for my portfolio, definitly way more dressy then the norm for me, but also I feel as though she kept it sort of quirky so it still suits my own personal style! PHOTOS SOON, eee I'm so excited.

Sleepyhead

    What a productive day off this has been, my orignal plan for today was to have a hungover ride back from my friend nic's place at ubc and then sleep all day. But instead I wasn't hungover and spent the daying planning out a bunch of shoots I'm planning and going to be styling soon! Although I am typing to you from a starbucks, since the power decided to go out (a little welcoming home present for courtney??)
    Last night I went to shine nightclub for the after party of passion pitts sold out show at the vogue theatre on granville! and although I don't think they actually did a set the other guy who was dj'ing sure kept me and some other urbanites shake shaking our asss rock rocking our hipppss!

I also recently managed to squeeze time in a photoshoot this weekend on sunday after our annual urban outfitters staff meeting. I'm really glad with how they turned out, for me it was an output for alot of emotions that I have been holding onto for a bit. It's also a little more masculine david. And a little more cold and furry david. Hope you like them!

You can talk and talk and talk about your problems, but why not put the energy into what you are going to do about that problem, Our inner talk creats the world that we live in, so if you have negitive talk all the time, you are always going to be in a shitty place. You take comofort in the way you view the world, you inner talk repeats, and so will the day. Same day over and over. I learnt this from kelly cutrone, but it has been more relevant lately.
   Never have I had things in my life be soooo good, yet so shitty and so unsure. But do I sit around and talking about how shitty things, no I'm more inspired then ever. Working harder. All we all really want is tomorrow to be better then tomorrow, once you don't care about tomorrow. You don't care about anything.

Words, Finally.

Alright, so time to actually write more in this blog to mix things up. I've been well, working a lot but it's all good, if I wasn't working at home I'd be broke at home and bored right?, right? Lately I've just be wondering what was I doing when I was unemployed?? Too long fo sho.
   Its deffintly winter time here in vancity, we have had two days of snow, the first snowfall happend inconviently right before me and courtney were heading out to the cobalt downtown, we were not happy partiers that night...

 I've also been thinking alot about "life" and all that. I think winter time makes me get a little sentimintal about stuff like that. Like how much time do we have left? what will we regret? Why are the days long but the years fly by? and what is my journey? Is it a journey?? I'm thinking forward, and feeling motivated. I want to make a change, so I'm thinking of moving somewhere new for the summer of 2011, perhaps a bit into the fall aswell just depending how I like it and what progress I am making.
   I've also started to really miss modeling, and acting, and want to further pursue a career in the fashion industry. I don''t know what aspect of it yet but, ithe fashion world for sure. I havn't been putting this down lately.... 

and I've also taken the liberty of setting up a shoot this sunday so I am super excited to get back into it. I'm trying this whole new thing though, where I stay motivated, but have it so thats not all I want from life. I want to avoid the waiting place. The place where im just sitting by my computer and my phone, waiting... waiting... waiting for an oppertuntiy, for someone to message or call back. WAITING FOR MY DREAMS. you can't WAIT for them, the moment NEVER comes knocking unless you invite it over. My good friend once said "luck is when perperation meets perfect timing" and when i got my picture on the back of the block magazine for the smart mouth cafe ad, a wise teacher once said simply "congradulations, now the challenge is to make the rest of your life filled with moments like this, moments when you are proud, and moments where you are anticpating what the future has in store". Probably a million inspiring things were said while i was in vfs, FUCK i should of taken more notes! start writing kiddies. Stop waiting, No ones calling.

                 Sometimes working in retail can be a bitch. NOT because of the customers, just the amount of them. I wish i had time to help everyone, and knew where every item of clothing and every size is in the store. PHEEEWWW I am tired, been getting alot of merchandising oppertunitys, so i have been learning tons, but the floor is deffintly a beast ive got to learn how to tame again. Hopeing my second wind of evergy comes so i can get my BRIGHT & TIGHT onn.

Not Forgotten

I am offically nocturnal, working over nights monday to thursday at urban outfiters then partying friday - sunday, theres only time to sleep in the day right ?? Let me tell you though, what I'm doing on granville at 2 am sure has changed. Instead of being one of the drunken, underessed, clubbers who are flocking to the mcdonalds. I am painted displays, changing posters, arranging products, and listening to everything from crystal castles to ying yang twins.
   I promise myslef a better blog post next time, right now im going to eat some whole wheat rice, mmm. Wishin it was halloween.

Kerrisdale Lovin'

So this past weekend my roomate Courtney was wanting to see more of Vancouver, the areas that everyone who inhabtes the "downtown bubble" tends to forget about. So after me waking up from the zombie state of working overnights, We decided to venture out in the day to my old Neighbourhood Kerrisdale. 

  On the way there we met up with the newly brunette birthday girl, Emily! We looked around a few vintage shops and boutiques, and  went to a store I love called Hobbs which is located @ 2127 W 41st Ave. They sell home decor, and are also kind of a floral shop, it sounds weird that a 20 year old would like this kind of shop but it have some sweet stuff to look at inside. They also have a patio in the back where they sell more stuff, and we decided to take pictures.

After looking around some more we went to a sushi place I had never been to before, even though I was always in the area. and i was shocked and delighted to find out that they had PICKLE maki. As in sushi with pickles in it, its my new favorite.

                     Now whenever I go for sushi I'm going to be snookin' for that pickle maki.
